We always have more approved homes than pups. Our primary goal is to place puppies in loving homes where they have the best chance of enjoying a long and happy life. Here are a few of the criteria we use when evaluating potential homes: - Families who have had Weims before - Homes in Northern California where an ongoing relationship is easiest - Homes where the puppy will have little or no alone time and lots of family activities - Homes that will consider participating in local dog shows* Puppy Application If you would consider rescuing a Weim, there are usually good dogs available immediately. They are not normally abused, just neglected and unwanted. Available dogs can be viewed at: http://norcalweimrescue.org * Most breeders grade their litters at 8 weeks to determine show vs. pet quality. Because pups graded pet quality at 8 weeks may turn out to be show quality at 8 months, we like to place all of our pups in local homes who will participate in moderate local showing. |
